I arranged the originally disjointed poems into two parts, “O” and “I,” then sequenced “I” so that it reflected the development of my thoughts and personality over the latter half of 2018 and the first half of 2019. Several poems—notably “Paralyzing Spiral Blues,” “I, Skyscraper,” “Meatphysical Stir Fry,” and “Enantiodromia”—were welded together in 2022 out of previously unfinished fragments and ideas. The rest of the poems already existed in full, but were subjected to word-by-word revisions.
